Love on the Right Course (2024)

Whitney (Newbrough) is starting to feel hopeless. She hasn’t been playing very well ever since her mother died and now she is considering going back home for good. Whitney makes it for the tournament which takes place in Hungary, a place where her father (Marton Roy McCrery) lives. It’s her final effort and she meets her father’s business partner Daniel (Rosner) at Marton’s golf course. Whitney thinks that Daniel looking at her motivates her to return to her sport. However, her father wants to sell the club. As if this was not bad enough, as promising young Whitney is about to make her move, the Chapman Andrew (Steve Byers), her overly concerned former caddy, approaches her asking to work with her again risking both her game and picking up Diana’s romance.

Since I am a fan of Stefan Scaini for the way he directed Perfect Harmony and Moriah’s Lighthouse in 2022, I was more than excited or looking forward to watching this movie under his direction.

Budapest. Love on the Right course is due to the beautiful landscape perhaps the most visually stunning hallmark movie ever combined which caused it to be filmed in Budapest. The architecture here was stunning and well the vegetation spoke for itself. The riverside views were breathtaking, not to mention the cobbled streets filled with umbrellas in all patterns and colors. Vendors were busy selling all types of colorful items, flowers, and fruits. To top it all, there’s a beautiful scene where Hungarian dancing features, which adds even more flair to this Old Europe setting of the film.

I thought the movie would be better than real life, but to my dismay, Whitney, as always, turned out to be an amazing reality instead. Do you remember Whitney a couple of years ago looking at her mother’s things with such tears in her eyes? Or even talking about her mother who had died two years earlier? She lost herself in her career because grief consumed her. And Marton allegedly was in deep mourning after the death of his wife. He went into seclusion in a large country house and, heartbroken with love, almost completely stopped building the joint business. Wong and Marton, however, managed to see the world through different eyes in the end. To Marton, life not only returned, but it began to lure him out of the house. Everything even began to get cuter when a lively dog came into the scene and I was pleasantly surprised by this. My expectations for this movie were rather low, however, I wide smirk throughout, and at the end, I found it emotionally comforting and went above my initial hopes.

Of the nasty ones in the film, the cut-throat real estate agent and Whitney’s caddy who made Marton share his commission with him, and, the rest bore no resemblance to unfeeling fraus as they made it a point to resolve issues for one another Take note, however, that they weren’t really very colorful characters either.

Vanilla Chemistries. The duo of Ashley Newbrough and Marcus Rosner has also paired in the 2023 film entitled Flipping for Christmas together prior to this film. I for one, appreciate both of these actors, but they are not an enticing couple from my perspective. The mini chemistry we witnessed, albeit not much, in the recent Love on the Right Course movie, peeped in bits in time. Cuddles at Whitney and Daniel’s brief romance movie, Daniel’s mother turns a year older and Daniel begins to have feelings for Whitney. Once more, Andrew beamed up the stage and influenced the two main characters in the program, to develop an interest in each other. Even in that instance, they seemed somewhat unfitting, which has a boring impact on the romantic direction of the movie. For me, love is better than all that agonizing buildup in movies. This film is disappointedly unimaginative, Providing us with false hope Rosie and Newbrough and Rosner’s characters kiss their fists at the end of the film Newbrough.

In truth, I considered the movie to be rather dull in that regard. The editing of the movie was rather slow and lackluster in my opinion. But to be honest, perhaps if I were a golf enthusiast or had more knowledge about it, I would consider it to be interesting. There were a lot of fairway scenes where the couple was discussing her games. Daniel was teaching Whitney about the mind games in golf and how one should ignore the perfect shot and the ideal swing. Some of them, such as “close your eyes and try to hit the ball really hard after making a wish,” sounds rather ludicrous. In a game where aiming is essential, how would that be beneficial? Even the last match, which created a buzz in most of the bumps, including the notable moment of Whitney, was worse than expected from a presentation point of view. I did not like the way Daniel did not defend himself when Andrew began to wade through to Whitney again. He looked rather pathetic for that role of the leprechaun, and it is not surprising that she was annoyed with him. Surely it was clear to him that Whitney was anti her last caddy.

It would have stirred up the drama totally if only he had taken the opportunity to grab the girl, it was quite stupid of him to not do so. After putting up with his self-indulgent remarks for way too long, Whitney finally decided to fire Andrew and that resulted in some much-needed drama.
