Gold Valley Films is in Berlin, EFM 2023 to showcase their unique animation called Little Emma which has recently earned the MPA Asia Pacific Cooperation Special Award For Best Work In Progress at the Beijing International Film Festival. The studio has also released a teaser for the new animated film a comic-styled CG family fantasy.
Little Emma is all about a human girl who is dwarfed by all the other big creatures without them knowing of her existence and in search of identity and a new home. Luckily, Emma encounters her duals a nerdy yet outstanding turtle, Newton, and her creator, Edward Wolff who has a plan to change Emmas’s perception of the world forever.
The film is directed by Leo Lewis and Isabella Blanco (Ella and the Little Sorcerer) and its screenplay was written by Sean Lamb Cast includes Natalie Grace as Emma, Travis Cloer, Edward, Bar Topaz, Newton, Niko Gerentes as Sancho, Mr. White and Bear and Amy Margolis as Mrs. White.
Gold Valley Films is also inviting all interested parties to the prescreening times for the first 50 minutes of the film, after announcing the prescreening dates of 16 and 18 February. In addition to Little Emma, GVF will also be presenting other films during the event at EFM including Adventure of Nils, which is in the making with Selma Lagerlof the first woman who won the Nobel award for literature as its inspiration, and The Bear which is based on a true event in Berlin.
Little Emma is the animation film number eight produced by GVF and is the ever-growing collection alongside Ella and the Little Sorcerer, Cinderella and the Secret Prince, Academy of Magic, and Mulan. The delegation for Berlin is on the mandate of Cognitive Nature and is led by Allen Tsang GVF international sales head who has been joined by veteran Ariel Veneziano of the sales field. ‘Little Emma’ is no wait Toonz Media Group was involved in multiple franchises and anime such as ‘Wolverine and the X-men’, ‘Speed Racer’, ‘Fruit Ninja’ and a plethora of other successful shows and movies which set up Neko Productions alongside SEGA to join GVF to create the animation for ‘Little Emma’. The project was set to deliver mid this year as it was near completion and Imagine-based Veneziano in to develop a co-partner strategy for the organization.
Apart from all the commotion, the film managed to retain an original sound score which was composed, directed, and mixed with the help of Daniel Markovich who is known for his association with various popular TV shows and has been recognized internationally at notable events like Cannes. “Our movie is original, thus we believe that audiences will gravitate toward it globally,” said Chen Roger. He went on to explain that Along with Adam Qiu, they founded the studio in 2013. “We have women heroes in our all movies and the woman refuses to be defeated,” he added.
