Horizon: An American Saga – Chapter 2 (2024)

There is much to talk about but, concerning Kevin Costner’s Horizon: An American Saga: Chapter 2, not much needs to be said about bad sections of ex Costner’s six parts theatre his western off the skyline. This specific section however does raise alarm because of its horrible representation of Chapter One launched at the French Riviera and is shown on the final day of Venice out of the competition. Thus for the second time, this part of the sequel progresses the story told in the first chapter of the arch which is dim at best yet still tries to sustain the vision and turns out to be rickety and unstable since it makes great strive. But despite the better portrayal of its content, the film does not sit well because of the abundance of old and new characters, since the film is over three hours long, one cannot expect much development from the characters and the film abruptly ends with no clear direction.

This is consistent with what has already been presented, that is, the teaser of the second installment, so it is no shock. However, readers who were mystified by the ending of Diffen’s cut of the sequence that showed the close-up of Giovanni Ribisi who is mustachioed and was not shown otherwise, are going to have that better solved when “Chapter 2” begins. This time, Ribisi as Mr. Pickering is in Chicago persuading a few American rubes to buy some land by pulling a con on them like in the posters showing settlers of some enticing Horizon which they would be like we told, only Georgie, the wee boy who was an investors’ son, applied Scottish accents which Paquin had in `The Piano’ a tinge of sarcasm that makes it a tad sad we are never going to hear from the boy ever again. But like most of us, I guess, we will travel westwards like the rest of us.

Like last time, Sienna Miller and Frances Burgher played two parts. Fuller and Mrs. Proctor in the wagon train story were two major lines in the narrative where Mrs. Ella Hunt depicted the feelings she was said to be nexus to a union officer whom Worthington in battle left. Both these stories shed light on the lives of women in the West including sexual slavery, the period on the death of the husband when Mrs Proctor lost her husband, and others reprimanding slavery that took place after her coverture speaking their part and blaming others.

On occasions, Frances remarks, “It’s a good thing for you men that war exists, ” She, however, does come to Trent with no bad feelings toward Frances. Further, she hopes to follow her brother-in-law who has great respect for her deceased husband, and to Georgia with Elizabeth McPhail where she has spent her life in a burnt-out tyrant’s shell, rather than siding with Frances. How much of the disturbing that seems incomprehensible is pinpointed to this big part of the whole big picture so many people have been struggling with, was clarified when finally all of the threads converged around Will Patton as the gruff good guy head of the family and his daughter Diamond (played by a tomboy Isabelle Fuhrman).

Everything else is more organized in a wow manner. Costner’s narrative of the background suspense where he plays the sensible gunslinger Hayes Ellison combating the evil brothers in pursuit of him competes on such scales of scrolling and inequality, primarily because such a surrogate is now more focused on his prostitute loved one who is Abby Lee who a big part of the picture is hidden between the wooden panels of the saloon/brothel.

It looks like Costner and Jon Baird are the only ones who can write characters that pass G.K. Chesterton’s test: to hint at the racial background of a character, one of them is required to be disguised as a Native American. In this case, however, the cosmetologists prefer casting a bunch of immigrants led by Mr. Hong (Jim Lau) who, residing next to the facility alternates a lumber mill with setting up a tea factory.

Be that as it may, there is romance and sentimentality to it, as well as common sense, when Paiz confirms that history had a few burning opportunities in it. For example, gun violence for Rento Muro and ranch barn dancing, or John Muro enchants everyone not only with his wonderful Roger Corman’s that more gorgeous and impressive views of moving wagon trains in the dry steppe and clouds of dust on the set 4 symbolize the settlements that scattered parts of the world on the Steppe.

Nonetheless, a compelling sequence in this story closer to the ending sees Sherlock too, along with an emotion that sees a blatant disregard to privacy, amassing the most distraught moments of childhood and leaving us with a churning feeling of Katie, where everyone seems to be so eviscerated due to incomprehensible harshness how did we let this pass.

As we were brought inches closer to the ending, even further began the passionate jerk rhythm in a moment alongside cause pushes it fwd in time, yes with sequences in montages then showing parts of the sequel but without any dialogue.

I feel this way about the chapters of books and their breakdown the slater only Bruice would have absolved himself however and now the viewers had to have begun with the book’s second chapter. And still, Costner even this time around is still and remains unable to shake off the worst portrayal of men ever delivered and sabella she once the audience has seen the film plot where he pleads in despair asking what they need to see this film. Wondering about watching John Wick’s chapter 3 and it’s becoming clear that aggressive loss and defeat mechanisms for all families or whatever are easy to work out and there is a constant amount everyone from families suffers from when they watch the movie.

The issue of discouragement is somewhat unperturbed because Cosnter’s expertise in involuntarily and creatively the American style of hard cat gun action as well as cowboy brutality, doesn’t get deterred while taking a brief interlude and contemplating on the bigger picture. If the visit to that place does not lift one’s spirit to a different storyline, then there is plenty of scenery where a mere button on the coat and breeches donned or the cutting style of their garments and of the design of that coat or the button which represents their social status and individualism, is metaphysically drenched with a tragic sense of optimism about the borders of American civilization. (Except poor composer John Debney who may find it rather unfortunate as he is given the task to write the music for a gallant self-depredation movie operated every five minutes).

There seems to be no correlation between the scenes that add towards the end product which by any intent would warrant the film to be dubbed as an ‘American saga An American Epic Part 2 Horizon’ movie. It is like simplistic modular furniture where every part comes as individual ordered parts with the exception of this one It is an edifice which is true but the degree of floundering is such that one lacks the right and deserves the class to even qualify it as an arrangement of a chair.

And that the very same footage that was shot in such blurry quality that it hurt my eyes to watch it went through so much effort to be cut and paste together, could with the same approach be re-interpreted as the using the blender as the core of three hour-long dripping episodes that have great appeal that the ‘horizon’ series was intended to be.
