Is there anything better than a new Linkin Park album being released alongside a new Transformers movie? That might sound too good to be true but there are fans across the globe, waiting for this exact moment for years.

It’s been almost 4 decades since the first series of Transformers was released by Hasbro, so skipping the details of Transformers The movie from 1986 won’t be hard. Since the release of the classic movie, we have yet to witness an animated version of the Transformers series, until now. Unlike the previous films, graphical violence is also included which explains both the detail and complexity of the timeline. Michael Bay’s insane movies made the franchise appear cheap and low-budget, until Josh Cooley, director of Toy Story 4 stepped in.

One thing all the previous movies had in common was how they never took themselves seriously when it came to adding human elements. The new movie, however, goes back to Cybertron which holds a very different yet uncomfortable feeling to it.

It seems that no one would want to be associated with cringe or cringe-worthy perspectives, so there are all the cringe humans with Sam Witwicky and other humans. In its stead, there is a slew of other robots that look like they were severely battered and are still in the process of recuperating from the violent attack of the Quintessons.

Eric Pearson, Andrew Barrer, Gabriel Ferrari, their creative Cooley, and other co-writers, have the audacity to truly dip into Hasbro’s toy box for inspiration rather than being affected by the overused tropes that barely cross the boundaries of creative boundaries as they have overstated them numerous times over.

The infant love story about Orion Pax who will evolve to be Optimus Prime and D-16 who would later metamorphose into Mike’s helm-wearing ‘Megatron’ is the crux of the action. What is in is that in a childhood setting, they are brothers, and instead of sibling bonding and partnering up, they only bring about the notion of being captive to one another. They were Miners at one point and nowadays, they’re engaged in an attempt at attrition warfare.

Orion, played by Hemsworth, is an interesting character. He begins as an ambitious wild child and finally grows into a responsible adult who has to deal with the expectations of society. As for, D-16 performed by Brian Tyree Henry, he appears to be unyielding in pursuit of self-imposed narcissistic goals that are interspersed with rage and sheer will to excel.

As one unravels the story of Orion and D-16, their formerly cruel and painful romance turns into a youthful fantasy. Their relationship appears to evolve smoothly at first, however, the progressive sense of betrayal shrouds the mundane playfully romantic light. The story displays its plot through their sad and heavy separation which fully supports the narrative. Nonetheless, one can ask how their high-energy coupling remains the same after the world has ended.  These two ideas prompt the readers with disquieting thoughts. From the outset of the story, the plot revolves around Cybertron’s geopolitical maneuvering for power maximization. The title heroes seem devoid of energy and are exclusively hunting for a plausible energy resource. In other words, the plot does not seem fictitious. On the contrary, it revamps an existing universe of the series that has transformed a wise man’s idea into something quite modest and not outlandishly arrogant.

And, there will be the skilled interlacing of the comic narrative by Keegan-Michael Key gender bender on even the most anti-war naysayer criticism. And reservations over naysayers well known to the Coalition “the parody of domination,” will be introduced through riotous handsome metal flashing plots Ashtabee.

Cooley appears to stay easy but never goes nice. He accomplishes projects that combine two approaches, gradually telling the story of the world’s mythology using an array of animation techniques a combination of strong emphasis on realism and a very simple yet vivid approach to the creation process. What Industrial Light & Magic provided was astounding, a vibrant universe full of activity, and yet unspoken moments the sweeping different angles locational picture of Cybertron or a close-up of Orion’s words to D-16 these gentlemen are as close as one could go to the heart of this portrait.

Largely it is evident, that the film in question cuts unevenly across a medley of instances. In stark contrast, Transformers One has a high-octane emotional pace that at times is consuming but not something that is easy to digest. Specifically when it comes to building the worlds, the first act can be looked at as brisk in its execution which in all honesty may result in putting the audience at the mercy of inconsiderate other dimensional traits. However, notwithstanding the hairpin turns, the three most profound visions of disappointment, treachery, and remorse don’t really get buried too much in a rush.

Admittedly, the odd and distinct feel of watching the battles of these metallic giants does offer an element of nostalgia, however, it is something that nearly goes unnoticed. Where then, did the entire thing start waiting for it from Transformers’ tagline “I Am Optimus Prime”, but rather from thenes and the cooleys seem to have no dearth of these materials, embellishing them with the storytelling ability to pull the film away from again being a mere toy commercial. All along, it is the depth of the lore that sometimes explains the use of these characters, herbs, and bombs which are actually instead meant solely for the purpose of selling bombs and explosions.

Even though Transformers One may not be the most groundbreaking animated film, it still is an extraordinary addition to the franchise that focuses on insane action and fighting. And just in case the Transformers were ever going to die, there is no possible way they are already dead. The franchise is still flying high.
