A very disturbing episode within the series is when there is a discussion about the legal battle against Alex Jones and around this time when a poll was being taken, Jones was believed by at least 20 percent of the population to have caused a shooting at the Sandy Hook Elementary School. We can easily consider Jones as an idiot who takes advantage of his fans but even his antics seem to have crossed some uncomfortable lines. Those with half a brain should be able to see how this line of thinking sits perfectly with all the other nonsensical theories that became prominent over the last ten years and completely obliterated reasoned discourse in this country. Even if there is no desire to look into the shaping of memes, lies, and even pseudo theories, some of which can be blamed on Jones, the facts of this specific case are rather revolting. Most crucially, these events were broadcast on Dan Reed’s “The Truth vs. Alex Jones.” in a very compelling manner, in addition to being well organized, edited, and illustrated.
Reed’s Leaving Neverland comes to the argument with never-seen-before material, single handedly modifying the documentary landscape. He covers Jones’ trial against the families who suffered greatly during the Sandy Hook massacre, alongside newer images that have not been revealed to the public yet. Fitsndel, CT’s 2012 horrific massacre is a common reference point for everyone who did not know about the story of the Truth vs. Alex Jones, and it is our responsibility to ensure that every child knows the Truth. The perpetrator of the Utah incident is obscured due to the trauma inflicted on them, but the families of the other victims are ready to tell the truth. In the beginning and at the end, depicting the anger the families felt towards the assailants gave the viewers justice. This type of strategy putting the blame will get public sympathy – is clever because it helps the storytellers to avoid melancholy.
It is not surprising that these events took such a toll on Mr. Jones’s family, especially considering that he had that the Sandy Hook tragedy was staged with the hopes of changing people’s views on gun control, at the time the dead bodies had not even been fully accounted for. Jones and his cohort of foul-mouthed fanatics embarked on a path that included constant threats and abuse, like when the father of one of the children at a funeral was shown being terrified at the sight of a microphone, intermediates of this sick group took this as a sign of him pretending. It is disgraceful what people are prepared to say, and do, concerning the parents of the children of Sandy Hook, including those who were interviewed for the film and still cannot comprehend the reasons why parents were outraged when other parents or adults were pursuing sound logic.
As attempts to invalidate the Sandy Hook tragedy go as low as claiming that there’s no use exhuming the bodies because it all was set up in the first place goes to show the arrogance of imparting nonchalantly why such an imbecilic question should have such an effect. We all know it is a dumb, rude, and rude interrogative and such questions need not be answered.”
Reed has some of the most interesting scholars who have been obsessed by Jones particularly those who still contend that the Sandy hook did not occur, which by the way Jones is naked saying in his 2022 interview that it did 100% happen while he was late trying to steer the ship, suggesting that he was peddling a hoax, who was more like a salesman selling unsaleable goods. The last third of the videos of the events of the trial are much easier to understand thanks to the first half of this informative clip. It explains why the family members were placed first the audience followed second and then the InfoWars employees, who were mere participants. Those who witnessed it are already clear that the suffering was fully prepared and much more credible by limitations towards those there adding salt to the tears.
There is no question as to how the trial played out but it is still mind blowing to see the testimony of Jones and his team along with Jones’ parents. Interesting details like the one when Jones’ attorney batt fat-fingered fired over all of Jones’ text messages to the prosecution are included in the videos I have not seen, the heated and entertaining dialogue to a judge that was infuriated in filth coming out of Jones’ mouth in calling a Judge maya Guerra Gamble, and stunning on the eyes moments for Jones attempting to avoid taking any of the abuse he had to parents from the witness box. Then again everything forms so perfectly, there are a lot of moving parts to give a very grand narrative and the timing is just perfect for a cable television documentary. This is how a documentary film has to be edited. Such management of narration. None of the elongated half baked docuseries syndrome which is rampant in the mainstream of all drama documentaries.
In this case, Alex Jones was penalized a sum of 1.5 billion, the total of all the trials he participated.
Considering some of the hate speech he has uttered which makes people in this country which is one basic thing that people are entitled to, I expect viewers of this film will be wondering The Truth vs. Alex Jones What else can be done?
