Land of Bad 2024

Land of Bad” is a gripping military thriller that features two leads, one of whom almost makes it to be a lead hero, but much to our dismay does not. The J.J Kinney concept explores enlisting Edward Kacobs while J.J Kinney and the movie attempt to save a hostage from the cruel terrorists by first mowing them down to help KJ survive.

For improvement, There is no possibility of an eleven-strong cast waiting in the wings for the action movie’s star Kinney and his character ‘One Air Force Sergeant J. J. “Playboy” Kinney to make an impression and go to work. It has aptly been put that Liam Hemsworth spoils everything as K.J. Kinne. He is a busy and action movie-reliant character instead of being mundane expecting things to self accomplished. Though he has been with Russell Crowe in that division, it is hard to bear with Crowe’s character because of his level of laziness. He plays a second lead: Captain Reaper K “Grimm”, Green sinking into the water after both of his eyes were taken out by crosshairs. He KJ is bombarded by missiles and taken hostage but not without first being captured which Kinney reaches out to.

People go wild for Russell Crowe, and they expect a comedian, pop culture, living cartoon, excuse me for his sharp hair and for his over-the-top performance involving well-lit screens with the line ‘ba-da-boom’. Surprising, who takes the trophy? It will be Staff Sergeant Nia Branson, aka Chika Ikogwe, with the moniker wing-lady. Among the cast of Tryl Grimm, not so much compassion should be devoted to him since he allows himself to say the cringe-worthy dialogue of the film which sets out the idea that military service hampers even such talented people as he is from being in the mainstream. Quite the opposite Land of Bad may be hailed and advertised as a kind of post-Black Hawk Down it’s a simple storyline of a man on a simple task, but in truth, it is much more a failed critique of the USA military and its current war engagement.

As Kinney’s shadow operative alongside Hemsworth the Overwhelmed but Competent Soldier, the Grimm is in charge of the mission as they attempt to locate a high-priority hostage who has been reported missing. Of note anyway, Kinney’s troops put the CIA’s undercover agent under scrutiny as the forces were tracking a Russian-based terrorist arms dealer. This of course is irrelevant once the Kinney’s forces search for their enemies who, as the funny sarcastic intro to the film goes, are the most violent extremist groups of South Asia and the Indian subcontinent.

This movie appears to strip Kinney of that immense struggle toward a swarming sensation and gives him only a couple of images that depict how truly bad such conditions can be. The bad guys here also seem to have a flair for portraying their So-called cave-women. This was featured in the Saw Movies ‘My aim is that when I look a man in the eyes, my selection must be very personal.’ A terrorist who does not mind resorting to violence goes on and adds,’ Kinney never fails to interrupt her and goes, “That is not something we need to be concerned about at this time.”

On the contrary, Grimm appears to be someone who is quite persistent. He tends to be a lone wolf while also mixing the work with violence. This is why he deeply antagonizes the Colonel, Packett Virgil. He sees a gargoyle version inscribed in himself too, one propelled by energy drinks. Some funny quipper further humanize them to match witty punchlines. These occasions might be preferable to fantastic marvels of a mere hour spent in greater Los Angeles.

He avoided conversations about his job as much as he could in regard to coffee-making machines. Kerguig pods left him more agitated than the mere thought of marriage. He was proud of the women’s suffrage movement, however, the pondering nature lesson that he always used to flirt with Kinney has paid off as Kinney possesses the only remotely realistic chance of saving Branson. There are far too many interrogatives and motives of each of the characters of the plot that can defend them caring for one another, hence their bond seems flimsy.

Kinney x Branson’s Marriage, the marriage that for some is Bloom’s shame, has gotten to the point where Kinney has become so lifeless that he can hardly do anything, but his abuse against Blum’s wife is so overwhelmingly engaging. Rahimi eases the tension that he feels when he tells Branson for the fourth time what he should be painted as and what he should not be painting Kinney in that society. Blame it on the air, but the woes that Kinney has to go through have managed to amaze Rahimi at least once in the earlier parts of the film.

It appears that portraying the Land of Bad in action flicks is a better premise rather than depicting the whole steampunk look as real life. On the other hand, Alexander William Eubank is a rising star in the field of the cine industry. His previous work includes the movie ‘Underwater’, which was a disaster flick that starred Kristen Stewart and was released in 2020, where the director seems to have the instincts to stage an impressive cinematic piece. Hence, this accounts for those who maintain that there are certain elements in ‘Land of Bad’ that will come through in the form of engrossing action sequences that are expertly staged and realistic in how they are set and in how varied in their rhythm. For a helicopter, attacking the mountainside held by a dense forest of militants, along with a truck filled with explosives is the best thing out there to illustrate what this new director seeks to achieve in terms of the film’s content.

Contrary to expectations, not everything included in Land of Bad will be able to get the spitting image close enough to that one redeeming aspect of the film. In other words, the movie can be somewhat regarded as a diamond because it contained some rather subpar but decent enough segments like the one with Milo Ventimiglia where he, though in the movie, attempts to stab a terrorist with a broken dinner set.

I wonder if the same goes for Eubank and his colleagues perhaps they should have decided to make a boilerplate Hollywood action film. Land of Bad is an utter wreck, fragmented to the point where it bears little resemblance to an action movie let alone anything half respectable.
